This is hilarious and so familiar - we had a tapas meal in Bicheno, Tasmania, where the portions got progressively tinier and more ornate but the beer never stopped flowing. You have captured the absolute absurdity of it all and the glee when you just give up on getting fed. (We ended up going next door and grabbing take-away pizza after ours.)
